In the territory of Mazzarino, in the province of Caltanissetta, Mount Bubbonia from the height of its 600 meters s.l.m. preserves the suggestive ruins of a Greek settlement of the VI sec. a.C., investigated by the archaeologist Paolo Orsi at the beginning of '900. Along the way we will meet a small dolmen, a real rarity in the island.
Historical-naturalistic excursion in the centre of Sicily, in a shady forest of eucalyptus dotted with dwarf palms and cork oaks. An area still wild and little explored.
Difficulty: medium. Length of route: 10 km.
